The Yetman brothers continue their trip of exploration through the Grand Canyon, this time focusing on the geology of the canyon and the desert vegetation along the river. They go plunging through Lava Falls, one of the last big rapids on the Colorado River, and watch adults of all ages turn into sprightly kids again, while jumping from the edge of a waterfall into a pool below. Two great mysteries about the Grand Canyon are explored. First, there is a geological period of time that is unaccounted for, in the history of the canyon. What happened during this time and why is there no evidence of it? Second, what happened to everything that was in the Grand Canyon? Did it get washed out into the Sea of Cortez?

Al Jarreau is the only vocalist in the history of the GRAMMYs to win awards in three different categories (Jazz, Pop, and R&B). He's been compared to such legends as Billy Eckstine and Johnny Mathis, and has been thrilling audiences since his 1975 debut, the top-selling "We Got By." Multiple GRAMMY nominee Kurt Elling is one of the great modern proponents of the "vocalese" tradition of marrying original lyrics to classic jazz solos. Al and Kurt perform and talk with Ramsey Lewis about the great male vocalists and their own lives and times, on stage and in the studio. Although approaching jazz from two opposite directions, these two master vocalists, Al Jarreau and Kurt Elling, came up with a duet on "Take Five" that promises to become a classic.

The ranger for the 15,000-acre Great Park of Windsor Castle is none other than the Duke of Edinburgh. The greatest event in the British polo calendar, Cartier International Day, takes place on the stunning grounds. This year the star attraction is Prince Harry, who leads the royal team. And what can be grander than a royal wedding, as Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles celebrate their nuptials at Windsor Castle? With 35,000 daffodils, 19,500 canapes, over 2,000 well-wishers, and 800 guests for the prayer and dedication at St. George's Chapel, the staff is hard at work. As far as Prince Philip is concerned, though, his main duty as ranger is to be a custodian for the future. The real strength of Windsor Castle will always lie in its people. Final program of 3.

An Austin resident of Cherokee descent inherited a mysterious bible from her father. She is intrigued by what appears to be Cherokee writing in the bible, and wants to learn more about her own family's history. A beautiful, worn banjo was purchased by a Chicago resident on an online auction. A tattered note inside says the banjo dates to the mid-1800s and was bought from a former slave in Bethel, OH, by an abolitionist family some time after Emancipation. Could this be the only slave banjo known to exist? A California resident came across a family tree, which contained the words "United Empire Loyalist" scribbled alongside several names. She began her own investigation and discovered that the United Empire Loyalists were descendants of the more than 50,000 people who fled to Canada following the defeat of the British in the Revolutionary War.

Many Mexicans consider San Francisco a "true" saint--one who delivers the "miracles" and "promises" that thousands of faithful make with him every year. But he demands that they live up to their end of the vow, which, for most, involves a pilgrimage. The faithful are followed, as they travel by foot and on horseback (some more than fifty miles) to the church in Magdalena de Kino, Sonora, to pay homage to San Francisco in the hope that he may transform their lives. The Fiesta de San Francisco also transforms this sleepy town, as tens of thousands of the faithful, semi-faithful, and out-and-out revelers descend on it for the biggest party in Northwest Mexico.

The remarkable story of the German Atlantic line of defense during the Second World War is told. On Hitler's orders, hundreds of thousands of people built a gigantic wall of bunkers, cannons and fortifications from the north of Norway to the Pyrenees, some 4,500 kilometers long. The project involved thousands of workmen of different nationalities who were, voluntarily or not, deployed to work on it. In spite of the Atlantic Wall's vastness, Hitler did not succeed. How that happened is explained in this program as the project's workmen testify how they tried to slow down the building of the bunkers and committed sabotage. (4 of 10).
