"Roasted Garlic Asian Pesto"
00:26
#409
APT
(DVS)
The word pesto comes from the Latin root pestle, which means "to pound or crush." Although usually a popular Italian dish made with crushed herbs, nuts, and garlic, Ming combines his own unique ingredients to create a master recipe: Roasted Garlic Asian Pesto. The pesto is the piece de resistance of Ming's Shrimp Wontons in Broth, Shanghai Noodles with Chinese Sausage, and Roasted Whole Pesto Poussin. Ming heads over to the gourmet sauce company, Sauces N' Love in Somerville, Massachusetts, where Tessa Edick and Paolo Volpati-Kedra show Ming what goes into their pesto made from the heart. Guest chef Dominique Macquet of Dominique's at the Maison Dupuy Hotel in New Orleans joins Ming in the studio to offer his own flavor to the table with his Asian Pesto Ravioli Stuffed with Shrimp and Foie Gras.

Black Star Line Stock Certificates: A North Carolina woman found two stock certificates, purchased by her great grandfather in 1919. What looked like a Marcus Garvey signature on the papers saved them. Garvey founded the steamship company through his United Negro Improvement Association. He fought for African American economic self-reliance and political self-determination. Mickey Mouse's Origin: Popular history has it that Mickey Mouse was born from a drawing sketched on a napkin by Walt Disney, in 1928. A San Francisco toy collector believes his small mouse figurine may turn the legend on its ears. With a patent label that says "Pat. Aug. 17, 1926," the figure appears to have been produced 2 years before Disney created Mickey Mouse. Pro-Nazi Newspaper: A Hearne, TX, resident heard rumors that a WWII German POW camp was based in her town. A tiny printing block just may hold the key to this mystery.

"Black Star Line Stock Certificates/Mickey Mouse's Origin/Pro-Nazi Newspaper in Texas"
00:56
#302
PBS

Quentin's wife, Eleanor, hires Rosemary Boxer and Laura Thyme (Felicity Kendal and Pam Ferris) to investigate why the school's newly planted roses are dying. Richard invites the ladies to the annual Night of the Stag, a long-held school ritual involving a member of staff, dressed as a stag, and the ritual humiliation of another teacher. But the festivities are brought to an abrupt end by the death of Simon Todd, the shy geography teacher. Are the dying roses and the mystery of Simon's death connected? The lady gardeners find the intrigue beneath the school's surface respectability much more intense than first appearances suggest.

APTSY
Gavin Patterson is anxious to restore the ratings of his TV garden make-over show, and has enlisted Quinnie Dorell to add a new dimension to the series. But Quinnie's knowledge of gardening is slight (her expertise is yachting), so Rosemary Boxer and Laura Thyme (Felicity Kendal and Pam Ferris) agree to help her with some specialist advice. When Rosemary falls from a viewing tower in an accident that was probably intended for Quinnie, and visiting journalist Rosie FitzCarron is found dead in the secluded lake, it is clear that the cut-throat world of TV personalities may have taken a more serious turn.
