Calf Creek Arrow: An Oklahoma resident discovered an unusual bison skull while fossil-hunting in a dry riverbed. Lodged in the bone was a handmade point, which the contributor believes dates back to the Calf Creek culture, around 3000 B.C. Could this be just another hoax or an incredible archeological discovery? The Edison House: A Union, NJ, resident has heard a strange story about his home: that it was designed and built by inventor Thomas Edison. But Edison is not known for his house construction skills. Could a portrait passed down through a Maryland family actually be an authentic portrait of the nation's first president, George Washington, by artist Gilbert Stuart, whose resume includes the dollar bill's Washington portrait? In Salem, OR, the story of a Revolutionary War poem, found 25 years ago, hidden in an antique trunk, is explored. The document appears to have been written by American, Dan Goodhue, while imprisoned in 1780, as a POW in England. Who was this man, and how did his poem travel across the sea and the nation? A Boston woman is fascinated by a cannon, kept in a local national park storage facility. In 1774, members of the Boston Militia may have stolen the cannon from the Boston Armory, and hid it on her ancestor's land. Roughly one in seven of America's active duty military soldiers is a woman, but a NOW investigation found that sexual assault and rape is widespread. Last year, nearly 1400 women reported being assaulted and raped by their fellow soldiers, in some cases by their commanding officers. The shocking phenomenon has a label: military sexual trauma, or MST. NOW on PBS returns to the subject for an updated report, featuring women battling to overcome their MST, and bringing light to an issue that's putting the army in shame. Also on the show, NOW investigates how a hard-hitting Montana program to keep young people away from methamphetamines is working in neighboring Idaho. The Enterprising Idea of using shocking media campaigns was created by billionaire "venture philanthropist" Tom Siebel. NOW talks to Idaho's First Lady, Lori Otter, who, along with the Governor, has dedicated herself to the fight against meth abuse. A local Idaho mayor whose oldest daughter had been addicted to the drug is interviewed.

Surprising finds abound at the Las Vegas Convention Center, too, including a charming circa 1865 pottery pig canteen; a fitting tribute to Las Vegas, two pieces of Elvis Presley memorabilia--an autographed record album cover and a macrame belt worn by the King at a performance in the 1970s; and a scrapbook inherited from the owner's great-great-grandfather who collected the signatures of many of the Civil War era's greatest public figures, including Ulysses S.
