Prohibition May Be Over...But the Evening is Just Beginning. Experience Milwaukee's past by touring the Society's artifacts, photographs and collections that recognize and preserve our local history while enjoying cocktails, hors d'oeuvres and culinary creations.
We will learn about Prohibition from a local perspective from John Gurda, a Milwaukee-born writer and historian, who has been studying his hometown since 1972. He is the author of nineteen books, and "The Making of Milwaukee," Gurda's most ambitious effort, became the basis for a Milwaukee Public Television Emmy Award-winning documentary series based on the book in 2006.
Cap off the evening with coffee and sweet treats until 9:00 PM
