Work and Purpose - MPTV NEXT AVENUE Community Conversations series
Monday, February 25, 2013 / 5:00 pm
"Work and Purpose" will be the topic of a discussion featuring Pamela Mitchell, President and CEO of the Reinvention Institute and author of The 10 Laws of Career Reinvention -- a Harvard Business Review Top Shelf Recommended pick. The event will be held at Waukesha County Technical College in Pewaukee.
The free, public event will be presented by Milwaukee Public Television as part of its NEXT AVENUE Community Conversations series. Speakers will also include Denine Rood, Vice President of Learning for Waukesha County Technical College; and Lori Hayes, Division Manager of Volunteer Engagement for the United Way Volunteer Center of Waukesha County.
Mitchell, Rood and Hayes will share wisdom and advice to help find meaning and purpose over the age of 50. The panelists will offer hope and concrete tools to those who find themselves unfulfilled in a career or without one altogether.
Waukesha County Technical College is located at 800 Main Street in Pewaukee. Space is limited and can be reserved by calling (414) 297-7514. Free parking is available and the facility is fully accessible to those with disabilities.
This Community Conversation will be streamed live on MPTV's website, www.mptv.org, on February 25 at 5:00 p.m. The video presentation can be viewed after the event at www.mptv.org/video/.
Community Conversations is partially funded by Milwaukee's Helen Bader Foundation. It is a local outreach effort for NEXT AVENUE, a new national website available at www.mptv.org designed to help adults over 50 lead more fulfilling lives.
