MPTV NOW ACCEPTS VEHICLE DONATIONS TO SUPPORT ITS PROGRAMMING
January 10, 2013
Milwaukee Public Television, which is sustained by contributions from viewers, is now offering the opportunity for supporters to donate their car, boat, motorcycle, truck or other vehicle to MPTV.
Currently, over 30,000 individuals, businesses and foundations financially support the quality, diverse programs aired throughout southeastern Wisconsin and northern Illinois on MPTV's channels. These donations are needed to continue to air programs such as Sesame Street, Curious George, Austin City Limits, Masterpiece Theatre and Frontline.
Almost all cars, trucks, vans, fleet vehicles, trailers, boats, motorcycles, and RV's are accepted. Donations to MPTV are tax deductible charitable donations to the extent permitted by the IRS. For questions or more information, call 855-240-MPTV or visit www.mptv.org/vehicle.
Milwaukee Public Television (MPTV) is southeastern Wisconsin's premier non-commercial media organization. MPTV consists of two traditional television stations, WMVS and WMVT, and seven additional digital television services. The MPTV stations are the area's only over-the-air source for PBS and other national public television programs, and also offer a diverse schedule of their own award-winning local series and specials. The station is watched by over 900,000 viewers each week throughout southeastern Wisconsin and northern Illinois.
