Is that painting in the attic worth thousands of dollars? Could Grandma's brooch have more than sentimental value? Find out the market price of treasured items at Milwaukee Public Television's Appraisal Fair on Saturday, October 12 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The event will be held at MPTV's Auction Studios, located at 12560 W. Townsend Street in Brookfield.

The fair will feature more than 50 appraisers and category experts who will provide verbal appraisals for items brought in by attendees. The cost is $10 for each appraisal and tickets must be purchased in advance. Tickets can be purchased online at or by calling (262) 781-4998. Tickets are not available at the door. Funds raised will help support Milwaukee Public Television's quality, diverse programming broadcast throughout southeastern Wisconsin and northern Illinois.
