Announcement to Be Made at MPTV Fundraiser

On November 19, PBS President and CEO Paula Kerger will visit Milwaukee to make a major announcement that will highlight Milwaukee on a national stage.

Kerger will make the announcement at An Evening with Paula Kerger, an event hosted by Milwaukee Public Television (MPTV) to honor its donors and supporters. As the keynote speaker, Kerger will also share insights into the latest developments at PBS and the impact of its programming in Milwaukee on MPTV.

The event will be held at the Pfister Hotel, located at 424 East Wisconsin Avenue in downtown Milwaukee, and begins at 6:00 p.m. Tickets are $175 each and can be purchased by calling (414) 297-8004 or visiting mptv.org/events.

PBS is the nation's largest non-commercial media organization with more than 350 member stations throughout the country. Since her arrival in 2006, Kerger has made particularly strong commitments to the arts, news and public affairs, high-quality content for education, diversity, and the use of new technology to bring public media into the lives of all Americans. Under Kerger's leadership, PBS has grown its audiences across genres and platforms. In the course of a year, now nearly 90% of all television households in America watch PBS, and over 80% of all children watch PBS.
