Antiques Roadshow Premiere

The opportunity to see Antique Roadshow's attic treasures and rare collectibles in the fine detail and brilliant color of a high definition broadcast will be available at Discovery World on Monday, Oct. 29, at 5 p.m.
The premiere of the first Antiques Roadshow taped in Milwaukee last summer will be simulcast in Discovery World's Innovation and Digital Theatres. The event, which is sponsored by the MPTV Friends, will include a buffet supper at 5 p.m. in the museum's Pilot House.
Guest appraiser J. Michael Flanigan, who has served as an appraiser on the popular PBS program, will give a presentation at 6:15 p.m. A former administrator of the Kaufman Americana Foundation, he is an expert in classic American furniture with 28 years of experience in the field. The simulcast follows at 7 p.m.
Antiques Roadshow visited Milwaukee in July, 2006, and taped three programs at the Midwest Airlines Center. They will premiere on Milwaukee Public Television (MPTV-10) on Oct.29, Nov. 5, and 12 at 7 p.m.
