MPTV Receives Emmy Nomnations

Milwaukee Public Television's local productions have received six regional 2006-2007 Midwest Emmy nominations from the Chicago/Midwest Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. The winners will be announced at a ceremony in Chicago Sunday, Nov. 18.

Rick Horowitz has been nominated for his work on InterCHANGE in the Commentary category. Everett Marshburn, Liddie Collins, Faithe Colas, and Keith Murphy have been nominated for their work on Black Nouveau in the Public Affairs/Current Affairs Series category.

Bill Werner, Claudia Looze, and John Gurda have been nominated for their work on The Making of Milwaukee for Documentary of Historic Significance.

Maurice Wininsky has been nominated for his work on The Making of Milwaukee for Music Composition, and Gail Grzybowski for her work on the documentary of the city's history for Audio. Michael Garvin's work on the five-hour series earned a nomination for Videography.
