Deer Hunt 07 Airs Nov. 8

Following a 12-year-old boy and his father on their first deer hunt, cooking venison dishes, scouting before the hunt, and preserving Wisconsin's hunting heritage will be some of the subjects presented on Deer Hunt 2007 on Milwaukee Public Television (MPTV-10) and MPTV-HD Thursday, Nov. 8, at 8 p.m.
The one-hour program provides the latest hunting information for the approximately 700,000 deer hunters in the state. This year's edition will feature wildlife and law enforcement experts discussing tagging procedures, Chronic Wasting Disease, deer population forecasts, and related concerns. Guests will include Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources Secretary Matt Frank as well as DNR biologists and other specialists.
Deer Hunt is hosted by Dan Small, host of MPTV's weekly outdoor program, Outdoor Wisconsin. The program will be repeated Saturday, Nov. 10, at 9 a.m. The program also will air statewide on Wisconsin Public Television on Thursday, Nov. 8, at 9 p.m.
