A revealing, four-part documentary series about the stars of early television will be the focus of
I Remember Monday, Dec. 3, at 6:30 p.m. on Milwaukee Public Television (MPTV-10).
Steve Boettcher and Mike Trinklein of Boettcher/Trinklein Media Inc. will discuss their new PBS presentation, Pioneers of Television, which will premiere Jan. 2 on MPTV-10 at 7 p.m. Boettcher is the producer/director and Trinklein is the writer/producer of the documentary.
The series unfolds the stories of nearly 100 stars, from Andy Griffith to Bob Barker, who helped create sitcoms, late night, variety and game shows during television's formative years.
Pioneers of Television follows Pioneers of Primetime--a one-hour PBS show that aired in 2005. The top-rated show traced comedy's trailblazers from vaudeville through radio and into the golden age of television.
I Remember is simulcast on MPTV-HD (MPTV-36-1 and Time-Warner Cable 510). The host for I Remember is talk show veteran Jim Peck, currently a senior advancement officer at Marquette University.
