IR: Harmonica Benefits

December 13, 2007

Harmonica music, along with its health benefits, will be the focus of I Remember Monday, Dec. 17, at 6:30 p.m. on Milwaukee Public Television (MPTV-10).

The guest will be Terry Rand, a member of the Society for the Preservation and Advancement of the Harmonica (SPAH). The program also includes a performance by the Yellow Pine Harmonica Trio.

An All-American college basketball player in the 1950s, today Rand advocates the health benefits of playing the harmonica. He wants people to know that in addition to the music, the harmonica provides good memory exercise and respiratory therapy.

I Remember is simulcast on MPTV-HD (MPTV-36-1 and Time-Warner Cable 510). The host for I Remember is talk show veteran Jim Peck, currently a senior advancement officer at Marquette University.
