Cooking Simply Second Season
December 18, 2007
Tyler Brown again will mix down-home wisdom and advice with tasty, comfort-laden cooking in the second season of Cooking Simply for the Soul, premiering on MPTV-10 and MPTV-HD Saturday, Jan. 5, at 1 p.m.
The weekly program is a 13-part series featuring Brown, a motivational speaker and life coach who operates an agency focusing on motivation, personal growth, and development training. The series will be repeated on MPTV-36 Sundays at 2:30 p.m. beginning Jan. 6.
Episodes combine topics such as candying yams with the benefits of performing random acts of kindness and preparing Caribbean dishes with fostering ethnic pride. The opening program offers recipes for meatloaf, cabbage rolls, and old-fashioned hamburgers along with thoughts on being genuine. Appetizers, seafood dishes, and a variety of other dishes seasoned with appropriate discussion will be presented in the following programs.
Brown describes herself as a self-taught cook extraordinaire whose specialty is cooking delicious meals "with plenty to spare and share." She is graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and her company, TB Inc., has worked with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Wisconsin, Goodwill Industries, and many other agencies.
Cooking Simply for the Soul is a production of MPTV. Jack Abrams is the producer.
