Antiques, Art Show and Sale Set

The MPTV Friends will offer antiques and art at the 84th annual REALTORS'® Home & Garden Show Friday, March 28, through Sunday, April 6, at the Wisconsin Exposition Center at State Fair Park, 8200 W. Greenfield Ave.
In partnership with MPTV Friends, the show will offer visitors the opportunity to meet two nationally known antique experts, secure appraisals, shop booths featuring antiques and art from dealers throughout the Midwest, and place advance bids on items featured in the Channel 10 Great TV Auction.
The REALTORS'® Home & Garden Show also will include green activities for children and families; question-and-answer sessions about the latest home and garden topics; home organizing and staging seminars, and tips on selling items on eBay. Also featured will be garden and patio vignettes and a wide array of home and garden merchandise.
The show will be closed Monday, March 31 and Tuesday, April 1, and resume Wednesday, April 2.
Ralph and Terry Kovel, authors of a syndicated column on antiques, will conduct a one-hour presentation at the show March 30 at 1 p.m. Their column appears in more than 150 newspapers nationwide, including the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. The Kovels have published 95 books and many of their programs have aired on public television stations, the Discovery Channel and HGTV. The Kovels will not conduct appraisals at the show.
Appraisers from Chicago's Leslie Hindman Auctioneers will provide verbal appraisals on March 29 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. They will appraise antiques and collectibles, including fine art, furniture, decorative arts, and books and manuscripts.
Only 800 appraisal tickets at $10 each will be sold. Only one item will be appraised per ticket. A maximum of two tickets per person may be purchased. Appraisal tickets will be available at the REALTORS' Home & Garden Show beginning March 29 at 9:30 a.m. Admission to the Home & Garden Show requires a separate ticket.
Throughout the show, MPTV Friends will host a large antiques & arts section. Visitors can browse and purchase items from booths filled with quality antique furniture, jewelry, linens, glassware and other items, along with art, such as original paintings, prints, pottery and sculpture.
Visitors also will be able to preview and place preliminary bids on art and other items that will be sold at the annual Great TV auction, broadcast live on Channel 10 April 25 through May 3. Raffle tickets for a new Toyota Tundra, a Caribbean cruise and a canoe will also be on sale.
Show hours for the 84th REALTORS' Home & Garden Show are: Friday, March 28, 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Saturday, March 29, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Sunday, March 30, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday, April 2, and Thursday, April 3, 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.; Friday, April 4, 11a.m. to 9 p.m.; Saturday, April 5, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.; and Sunday, April 6, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The show will be closed Monday, March 31 and Tuesday, April 1.
Regular admission is $8 for adults, and dmission is free for children 12 and under. Senior days are Friday, March 28 and Friday, April 4, when the ticket price is $6.
