AUCTION TOPS A MILLION AGAIN!

Milwaukee, WI - The MPTV Friends Great TV Auction has topped the million dollar mark again. Auction Director Art Langlas announced the auction total of $1,069,382, before going off the air at the end of the 41st annual Milwaukee Public Television fundraiser.
Milwaukee's 10-day auction continues to be the number one PBS auction in the U.S. based on gross and net revenue. The event involves over 2,700 volunteers, 2,000 donors, and the efforts of the staff over the course of the year to accept, store, sell, and distribute items and to promote and broadcast the live event. Proceeds help support programming and equipment maintenance for the MPTV Family of Programs, including 10.1 HD, 36.1 Digital, 36.2 Vme, 36.3 World, 36.4 Create, 36.5 Classical, 36.6 Jazz, 36.7 Weather, and 36.8 Traffic.
This year's auction chairperson was Robin Nehring-Brodie. Winning bidders must pick up their merchandise at the Pick Up and Pay, 12560 W. Townsend St., Brookfield, 53005, by Friday, May 8, at 6 pm or call 262-781-4998. Bidders may also call to inquire about certificate mailing. Donations for next year's auction are now being accepted as well.
