MPTV Arts Digest 5/17 Launch

Milwaukee, WI - MPTV launches a new series on arts and culture in Milwaukee with hosts Jon Anne Willow and Tom Strini, and featuring John McGivern.
Episode one of, ARTS DIGEST, premieres on MPTV 10.1 HD on 5/17 at 8 p.m. and on 36.1 on 5/18 at 9:30 p.m. Additional airdates listed below. The first episode of the magazine style series begins with a visit to former New Berlin resident and composer Daron Hagen, who talks about the premiere of his Opera, Amelia, at the Seattle Opera. Next is the very popular Danceworks' Mad Hot Ballroom and Tap, which brings dance into 45 Milwaukee public and private schools. The program visits the Pfister Hotel, where it is time for the changing of the artists. New Artist in Residence Katie Musolff and outgoing Artist Reginald Baylor are interviewed. John McGivern leads a unique and entertaining tour of the Milwaukee Public Museum and performance excerpts from "And... Action!" from Theatre Gigante and an MATC student animation clip round out the show.
ARTS DIGEST is produced by Willow and Strini, of Third Coast Digest, and Lois Maurer of MPTV.
