MILWAUKEE, Wis., Nov. 12, 2012, - Television viewers who receive Milwaukee Public Television through Comcast cable will find MPTV HD 10.1 in a new location beginning November 29. Comcast will move WMVS (10.1) to cable channel 243. It is currently at channel 239.

The following communities will be affected: Antioch, Fox Lake, Hainesville, Holiday Hills, Island Lake, Johnsburg, Lakemoor, Lake Villa, Lindenhurst, McCullom Lake, McHenry, Port Barrington, Prairie Grove, Round Lake Beach, Round Lake Heights, Round Lake Park, Round Lake, Volo, Wonder Lake and Woodstock. After this change, all Comcast subscribers will find WMVS on channel 243, where it is available. The cable company serves a number of northern Illinois communities and offer WMVS in HD on its digital tier. Comcast does not carry WMVT HD 36.1.
