December 3, 2012

Milwaukee Public Television's annual production, LETTERS TO SANTA, will air on Monday, December 17 through Friday, December 21, at 5:30 p.m., with the finale broadcast on Christmas Eve - December 24 - on MPTV HD 10.1 and 36.2. The half-hour holiday program will feature children reading letters to Santa about the gifts they hope to see under the tree on Christmas.

Approximately 50 children had the opportunity to talk with Santa on the shows during November recording sessions. Each of the six installments of LETTERS TO SANTA also highlights a seasonal topic and music performed by local school choirs and musicians. Topics featured this year include the Kristmas Kringle Shoppe in Fond du Lac, a behind-the-scenes look at the U.S. Postal Service, and the Hunger Task Force's preparations for the season.

The programs are produced entirely by students in MATC's Television and Video Production program. The Executive producer is Tom Bryde and the Program Producers are Joe Pfaff, Joe Horonitz, Kenn Williams, Cody Krott, Jibril Gagale and Abdallah Alqaoud.
