Milwaukee Public Television's special holiday production CHRISTMAS IN THE BASILICA WITH THE BEL CANTO CHORUS will air on Sunday, December 23 at 7:00 p.m. on MPTV 10.1 HD and 36.2. The concert will also be re-broadcast on December 24 at 9:00 p.m. on MPTV 10.1 HD and 36.2 and at 11:30 p.m. on MPTV 36.1 HD.

Milwaukee's Bel Canto Chorus will perform beloved carols and hymns at the historic St. Josaphat's Basilica. Musical Director Richard Hynson will conduct and the Stained Glass Brass Ensemble and the Bel Canto Boy Choir, conducted by Ellen Shuler, will also perform.

About Bel Canto
Bel Canto is approximately 100 voices strong. The Chorus draws its singers from communities throughout southeastern Wisconsin and northeastern Illinois and performs in a 4-concert subscription series. In addition to its season performances, Bel Canto is committed to serving choral music through outreach to, education of, and collaboration with students, educators, and other performing arts groups in the community, as well as through the advocacy of new music and emerging artists.
