Krakatoa

Using dramatic recreations and special effects, the program brings the May 20, 1883, volcanic eruption in Indonesia to life. The island of Krakatoa was reduced to a third of its former size, and sent waves, that reportedly topped 100 feet high, crashing onto Asian shores, killing 36,000. Portions of the program tie the resulting tsunami destruction to the December 26, 2004, tsunami.
