The Croatian parish of St. Jerome in Chicago has been ministering to Croatian immigrants and their families since the early 1900s. Like many unique ethnic parishes in the U.S., it has served as a refuge to preserve faith, family and identity. The history of the parish reveals why--at its core--for every mission--they were not alone.
