10.1 Carol Burnett: A Woman of Character America in the 1960s and 70s was in turmoil. The civil rights struggle, the war in Vietnam and the sexual revolution defined a nation in conflict. But at 10 o'clock every Saturday night, Americans watched "The Carol Burnett Show." For 11 years, the wacky performer yelled like Tarzan and won our hearts with her edgy, always sympathetic, characters. Yet, as with so many brilliant comedians, hers was a difficult childhood. Burnett's difficult childhood is traced, and the dramatic turn that followed her TV variety show.

10.1 Garrison Keillor: The Man on the Radio in the Red A candid look is taken at the private man behind the popular radio show "A Prairie Home Companion". Garrison Keillor has became our national philosopher, filling the empty shoes of Will Rogers and Mark Twain, through his running commentary about the human condition and the social politic. Through the course of a year, an intimate lens captures Keillor on--and off-stage as he mingles fact and fiction to create America's collective hometown, Lake Wobegon, on a radio program that carries bonafide nostalgia.

10.1 Margaret Mitchell: American Rebel Leading historians, biographers and personal friends reveal the complexities of Margaret Mitchell, the Pulitzer Prize-winning author behind Gone With the Wind, one of the world’s best-selling novels--adapted into one of the most popular films of all time. Mitchell struggled with the two great issues of her day: the changing role of women and the liberation of African Americans. A charismatic force until her death at age 48, Mitchell rebelled against the stifling social restrictions placed on women: as an unconventional tomboy, a defiant debutante, a brazen flapper, one of Georgia’s first female newspaper reporters, and, later, as a philanthropist who risked her life to fund African-American education.
