Student Productions

Milwaukee Area Technical College students enrolled in the Television and Video Production program have the opportunity to learn and work in the studios of Milwaukee Public Television, a national leader in high-definition production and programming.

Students acquire industry-standard skills for broadcast TV, cable, and corporate or commercial video. This is one of the few programs in the entire country, in which students gain direct, hands-on experience with HDTV production and broadcasting.

PantherVision is a weekly, award-winning news program featuring work done in front and behind the cameras by Journalism & Mass Communication students from UW-Milwaukee and students from MATC. JMC students handle the writing, development, and management of the show, while students from Milwaukee Area Technical College handle the production- -including in-studio camera and lighting work, telecasting and playback.

Stormwatch is a weekly program series featuring stories, calendar updates and the many activities at Milwaukee Area Technical College. Students in the TV and Video Production produce all aspects of Stormwatch, including scriptwriting, editing, and content development.
