Documentary Filmmaker Yvette Johnson

MATC's President's Diversity Council, the Black Student Union and the Office of Student Life proudly present a guest lecture with writer, film producer, and inspirational speaker Yvette Johnson, co-producer of the documentary, "Booker's Place - A Mississippi Story" which premiered with rave reviews at the 11th Annual Tribeca Film Festival in New York City in 2012.

"Booker's Place" is a documentary about Greenwood, Mississippi resident Booker Wright, a man who had the courage to be interviewed by NBC about racism in America in 1965. A decision, it is later revealed, that "forever changed his and his family's lives."
