Ethically Milwaukee: The Sikh Faith -

August 25, 2012

[Original Airdate: August 15, 2012] Host Mark Siegrist explores the history and traditions of the Sikh religion with Dr. Swarnjit S. Arora, Professor of Economics at UW-Milwaukee. The Rev. Jamie Washam, Vice-Chair of the Interfaith Conference of Greater Milwaukee and Pastor at Underwood Memorial Baptist Church in Wauwatosa explains how Milwaukee's interfaith community is responding to the fatal shootings at the Sikh temple in Oak Creek. Although Sikhism has been practiced since the 15th century, it is widely misunderstood and confused with other religions. Sikhs wear turbans, but they are not Muslim and the religion is from India, making it the fifth largest religion in the world. ETHM00120HDBA
